Southwest's AVID Program and Black Culture Club traveled to Milwaukee on Sunday, February 22, 2026, to experience one of the four annual Heritage Meals put on by Marquette University’s Lubar Center.
Students were able to hear a performance by Marquette University’s Gospel Choir and sample delectable dishes from four Milwaukee restaurants who specialize in East and West African cuisine.
The saying for the event was to, “meet someone, learn something, and try everything.”
