Southwest High School will host an opening reception and dedication for the newly installed Patrick O’Brien Art Gallery on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, 6:30 p.m. Mr. Pat O'Brien taught art at Southwest High School from 1968 to 1997.
Southwest High will celebrate the opening of The Patrick O'Brien Art Gallery, with an exhibition featuring artwork from three of his former students; Aaron Renier, Mark Dix, and Jonah Osgood all attended Southwest High School, during O’Brien’s last few years.
Mr. Renier is a published graphic novelist and part-time faculty at both the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Mr. Dix is the Art and Design Department Chairperson in the Fine Arts Institute at Green Bay East High School.
Jonah Osgood is the owner of The Blue Gem Tattooing on University Avenue in Green Bay, which employs several Southwest High School alumni.
