Additional Safety Protocols
Posted on 01/03/2022
Safety ProtocolsBeginning Wednesday, January 5, 2022 the following safety protocols will be implemented:

1. All students must enter through Door #1 only.  All other doors are locked and will remain locked throughout the day. If a student(s) opens any other door for students then all those involved will be subject to search and other disciplinary actions.

2. When students are entering Door #1 they must present their Southwest student identification card (ID) to school staff and administration immediately. Once their ID card has been checked, students must wear and have their ID visible at all times throughout the school day. There will be no exceptions. Please note, we will be sure all students have a Southwest student ID and lanyard on Monday (1/3) and Tuesday (1/4).

3. Students will not be able to wear winter jackets or blankets during the school day. All outerwear and blankets must be placed in the student's locker for the day. This will also contribute to the visibility of student IDs. If there are questions regarding what is considered a winter jacket or outer wear, the administration will make the determination.

Once again, these school safety protocols are for the safety and security of the students and staff of Southwest High School.
