DECA
: Southwest High School experienced another successful DECA competition. The competition was held on January 5, 2019 at Bay Port High School. Each student competed in one written exams and two role-plays with local business professionals. Southwest is pleased to announce this year’s winners at the District Four Career Development Conference and congratulates all who competed.

Hola Spanish Clubbers! We have meeting tomorrow celebrating three kings day. Come for the Abuelita chocolate caliente, join us for the fun! Everyone is welcome, bring your friends.

Attention all National History Day Students, Our next meeting will be tomorrow, January 8th, after school in Mr. Krings room. We will discuss project categories, next steps, due dates, and registrations.

Forensics:
Do you enjoy public speaking or acting? If so, Forensics is the competitive team for you! Come check out what this group is all about on Tuesday after school in Mrs. Baez's room (4660) for a short, informative meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!

Events & Opportunities
Cocoa and Cram for Freshmen is January 7th-10th after school from 3:00-4:00 in room 2340! Treats, cocoa, Kahoot review, and Link Leader tutors available! See you there!

Trivia ‘Til Dawn: Trivia 'Til Dawn is rapidly approaching. There is still time to register for Southwest's unique, all-night trivia competition. Stay up all night with your friends and compete for the $50 first prize. You can pick up registration materials in room 4620. The registration deadline is Jan. 11.

Athletics
GBU Boys Swim: The GBU boys swim team swam a great meet last Saturday in Sheboygan, taking 2nd place out of 9 teams. Swimming from Southwest was Cullen Jarvey, Max Pribyl, Zach Karnz, and Dalton Bain. Good job GBU!
