Adornment Requests

Students wanting to adorn their graduation attire must receive approval from the high school principal.  The District requires that the dress and grooming of students at the graduation ceremony are within the limits of Board of Education policy.  The deadline for submitting the form has passed.

Audition to be a Graduation Speaker

SW Administration will hold auditions for two graduation speakers to speak during the 2026 Graduation Ceremony!  The date to sign up has passed.

Auditions will be held on May 7th from 3:15pm - 5:00pm in the Main Office.  Time slots will be assigned in the order that sign ups are submitted; students' will be notified of their assigned time and must be available for the audition during this date/time.

Cap & Gown Sales 

A cap and gown must be worn to participate in the graduation ceremony. 

• The $40 Basic Package (Cap/Gown/Tassel/Cord) can be ordered with cash or check (payable to Brickhouse School Services) in the Main Office.  Online orders are now closed.
• Students who still need to purchase a cap & gown should stop in the Main Office for more information.  

Cap & Gown Distribution

Cap & gown packages will be distributed to students on May 13, 2026 and can only be picked up by the graduating student or their parent/guardian (as listed in IC).

Ceremony Tickets

Tickets are not needed to attend the Graduation Ceremony at the Kress Events Center.  Seating is on a first come first serve basis.

Diploma Information Form & Ceremony RSVP

The student's name on their diploma will be printed with their first, middle, and last name as it appears in Infinite Campus.  The ceremony RSVP form is now closed.

Elementary Graduation Walk

This walk features you and your classmates wearing your cap and gown walking the halls of your former elementary school while being celebrated by our future Southwest Trojans and possibly your former teachers. This would be a great way to see your educational journey come full-circle.  Seniors will provide their own transportation.  If interested, students are to fill out this graduation walk form by Friday, May 22nd.  These walks will take place the week of June 1-3.

Final Exam Schedule

The Class of 2026 has their final exams May 26 through May 28.  Seniors do not have shortened exam schedule days, and are expected to attend all of their classes during the final exam week.

• Tuesday, May 26, 2026 - Periods 1, 3, & 8

• Wednesday, May 27, 2026 - Periods 2, 4, & 6
• Thursday, May 28, 2026 (Seniors last day) - Periods 5 & 7

Professional Graduate Portraits

Ambrosius Studios will photograph Southwest High School's graduation. Photographs will be captured when graduates receive their diploma.

Orders can be placed online. Click the "ONLINE ORDER" tab at the top, and then "Events".  Use code SWHSGRAD2026 and enter your email address to order.  Orders will be mailed to your home 3-4 weeks after graduation.  The deadline to order is May 23, 2026.

Senior Slideshow Information

Student Services is creating a slideshow for the Graduation Ceremony highlighting each student in the Class of 2026! Students are to answer the questions regarding their post-secondary plans and review the blurb regarding their senior picture via this Google Form.  *Note, only students walking in the Graduation Ceremony need to fill out the Google Form.  The deadline for submitting the form has passed.

Senior Last Day

Due to graduation rehearsal occurring on Friday, May 29, 2026, the last day of school for Seniors at Southwest High School is Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Senior Lock-In

Senior Lock-In is a safe and fun event held the evening after graduation practice in which you get to celebrate your graduation as a class. The lock-in is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026 from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.  More information will be released at the beginning of May.

Senior Meeting

Senior students will have a meeting prior to graduation with needed information regarding the Graduation Ceremony.  The Senior Meeting will occur during Advisory (9:16-9:47 a.m.) on May 14, 2026 in the Auditorium.  Please be sure to attend.

Student Fees Due

All student fees must be paid prior to graduation and are due on Thursday, May 28.
